Like most Gen Z’s, my love affair with social media blossomed at an early age. I was captivated by the idea of becoming an influencer. The allure of millions of followers and the glamorous lifestyle seemed like the ultimate goal. As I navigated this digital world, I witnessed women worldwide transform this social media phenomenon into streams of income, crafting lives they never needed a vacation from. I’m sure you can relate: I wanted nothing more than to have what they had, but HOW?
Well girl, I’m about to tell you.
Not only have I given thousands of hours or research, trial, and error to my own social media success, I’ve found myself in a unique position where I have been able to blend my lifelong passions for natural self-care and wellness into a source of income. And now, I’m on a mission to leverage my presence and inspire other girls, much like you, who are searching for ways to elevate their lives but didn’t know where to begin.
One thing you should know about me, I do not believe in TMI. So trust, when I tell you I will give you the good, bad, and the ugly to allow you to make your decision.
There are some things you should know before you get started…
- Making money on social media isn’t about the quantity of followers you have; it’s about the quality of followers you have. The relationships you build, the way you make people feel. Success stems from having a community that knows, likes, and trusts you enough to act on your product recommendations.
- Making money online is not a get-rich-quick scheme; it requires hard work and consistency, but it offers the potential for an uncapped income on your terms, which makes it all worth it.
Exploring Different Avenues: Network Marketing, Affiliate Marketing, and Digital Marketing
Over the years, I’ve delved into various methods of making money online, each with its own unique advantages and challenges. The best part? Each methods (if done properly) can be done face forward or faceless for major profit.
Here’s a breakdown of the main types:
1. Affiliate Marketing
Affiliate marketing is the most popular way influencers (small or big) are making money these days and there are endless ways to do it successfully. Affiliate marketing involves promoting companies’ products and earning a commission for every sale made through your referral link or discount code. This method is ideal for those who prefer not to deal with inventory or customer service. It allows you to monetize your audience by recommending products you genuinely believe in and encouraging your friends, family, and followers to purchase using your referral link or discount code.

2. Network Marketing
Network marketing, also known as multi-level marketing (MLM), typically involves your commitment to only promoting ONE company’s products. It involves selling products directly to consumers (followers, friends, family) and earning commissions. This model, although not required in most cases, thrives on building a network of distributors (people who also want to make $$ online) and leveraging personal relationships to drive sales. Think affiliate marketing on steroids. The main advantage is the potential for residual income (repeat customers), but it requires significant effort in recruitment and relationship management. Network marketing companies typically provide higher commissions than affiliate programs, incentive trips, vehicle allowances, and many more exclusive brand perks.

3. Digital Marketing
If your social media and searches look anything like mine do, you’ve probably heard digital marketing is the new, big way to make money online. While that is true, I know they posts you’re seeing sound… sketchy. LET ME EXPLAIN!!!! Digital marketing is ultimately a term that means to sell/promote a digital product. It encompasses a broad range of strategies including content marketing, email marketing, and social media advertising. Digital products are intangible goods or services that are created, delivered, and consumed electronically. They can include software applications, ebooks, online courses, digital music, streaming services, mobile apps, webinars, and more. These products are typically accessed or downloaded via the internet.
For example, digital downloads like habit trackers, printable wall art, journal pages, and coloring pages listed on Etsy, or pre-made workout plan you found on Instagram. These products are all digital downloads, you can create one time and sell for profit over and over. Me personally? I prefer selling products that somebody else already made. These products have MRR (master resell rights) which means you can purchase the product and sell it as your own.
Digital marketing sounds very intense, but I swear to you, it’s not. It’s probably the least intimidating way to get started making money online.

4 (BONUS). User-Generated Content (UGC) Creation (if you are creative, but don’t want to post)
User-Generated Content (UGC) creation is a growing field where individuals create content (like reviews, testimonials, or social media posts) that brands can use in their marketing efforts. UGC is valuable because it provides authentic, relatable content that resonates with potential customers. As a UGC creator, you can earn money by partnering with brands to create and share content. This approach requires creativity and a strong understanding of what engages audiences.
Finding Your Path
Each of these methods has its pros and cons, but the overarching benefit is the ability to create a life you’ve always dreamed of. It’s about making money on your terms, without being tied down to a traditional 9-to-5 job. Yes, it requires hard work and consistency, but the rewards of financial independence and flexibility make it all worthwhile.
